As cities remain an imperative for future sustainability efforts, we hope to continue the efforts from 2011 with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to host the Taiwan-Germany Low Carbon Cities Forum--Urban Sustainable Development, in the model low carbon cities of New Taipei City, Taichung City, Tainan City, and Yilan County, through a 2013 low carbon cities forum, discussing low carbon architecture issues which contribute 28.8% of Taiwan’s total carbon emissions, along with development for cities.
